How is Garden School Special?
• Garden Montessori School is an enrichment-focused preschool and kindergarten preparatory program for children ages 3-6.
• We offer a 3 hour morning program, 9-12, with flexible days. You choose your schedule. Children can come 3, 4 or 5 days a week.
• We offer a Lunch Bunch option , M-TH 12-1:30. Children can attend daily or monthly.
• Our “drive through” drop off and pick up allows parents contact with teachers every day.
• We have special school events for students and their parents throughout the year such as a Fall Social, Mother’s Tea, Dad’s Night, Spring Sing, Science Fair and an End-of-Year Picnic.
• Parents lead extracurricular activities such as regular playgroup get-togethers at a park before or after school, siblings welcome!
• Children prepare their own snacks in their own kitchen and wash their own dishes.
• Our play yard has real grass, trees, gardens, swings, climbing, a big sandbox, structures and a tire swing. Children can run and play and enjoy nature. 
•We have 2 rabbits, fish, and a box turtle to allow the children to experience taking responsibility for and respecting animals.
• Our multi age class encourages cooperation instead of competition.
• Every detail of the classroom environment and curriculum is designed to foster the independence, natural curiosity and learning style of each unique child. Children have a choice of many engaging work projects, all of which are carefully designed to build skills and engage minds.
• We devote meticulous attention to how we respectfully interact with children. Teachers guide children’s projects and choices while
facilitating and cultivating each child’s learning style.
• Our program is intentionally structured to encourage respect and collaboration among children and to inspire personal responsibility and independence.
• Children develop their own hypotheses, conclusions and problem solving skills. 
• We continually modify and expand our curriculum to meet the needs and interests of each class. Our curriculum is very skill based yet remains exciting and relevant to children. New work projects are introduced regularly to re-enforce various concepts and themes.
• It has been our pleasure to have been in operation since 1978 working with our community’s children. Jaye Perry founded the school and has been the director/owner for over 40 years.

9:00 - Outdoor play / socialization
9:45 - 1st Circle: greeting, calendar, weather, curriculum / theme discussion
10:00 - Exploration of work projects: art, science, fine motor, gross motor, self-prepared snack, math, language (the outside deck is available to paint, water plants, visit the rabbit)
11:30 - Closing Circle: story, games, singing, closing
12:00 - Parents pickup
